Fire on Car Hauler on I-1O Causes Hour Long Closure

A fire on a car hauler caused I-10 at the 22 westbound to close for an hour overnight.

Firefighters fought to extinguish six burning cars onboard.

The hauler was in transit from Florida to Texas when the rear brakes caught fire, spreading to six of the eight cards atop it.

Fire units from Harrison County Fire and Rescue, Pass Christian CRTC, West Harrison, and Cuevas Fire Departments all responded to the fire.

Thankfully, there were no injuries.
