Firefighters Save Two People from Early Morning Boat Fire in Point Cadet Marina Friday Morning

Biloxi firefighters rescued two people trapped on a burning boat early this morning at the Point Cadet Marina in Biloxi. The fire broke out at about 3:30 am. No word yet on what may have caused the fire, but fortunately, no one was injured, thanks to the quick response of Biloxi firefighters, police and other emergency crews. Two hours later, firefighters had extinguished the fire, but still  were hosing down the boat in a steady stream of water and in a haze of smoke. According to initial reports, it does not appear the fire spread and damaged other boats in this Biloxi harbor behind the Golden Nugget Casino,  but the boat that caught on fire appears to have substantial damage. News 25’s Kristen Anzuini shared this live report on News 25 Today as crews continued to work the fire.

Police have confirmed a fire has broken out at Point Cadet Marina in Biloxi early this morning. According to initial reports, two people appeared to have been trapped by the fire. No word yet on the condition of the people in the area when the fire broke out at the Biloxi boat harbor right behind the Golden Nugget Casino, or what caused the fire.
