Final preps for Big Rig Truck Show underway

It’s all about the big rigs this weekend at the Mississippi Coast Convention Center as the final preparations are made for the Gulf Coast Big Rig Truck Show.

The finishing touches are being made for the show which kicks off Friday morning and runs through Saturday evening.

Over 70 trucks are expected to be part of the event, including numerous vendors.

On Saturday night, the Chrome on the Beach Truck Convoy will roll down Highway 90 to Jones Park then turn around and head back to the Coliseum complex.

Event organizers say the show also benefits those who have served our country. Jim McCleney with the Gulf Coast Big Rig Truck Show said, “We support Wounded Warriors and we also promote the transportation industry. It’s kind of like piggybacked on each other. We really started it for the Wounded Warrior Project. So, that’s one of our main goals.”

The show runs from 1 to 7 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $12 and you can purchase them or find out more information at gulfcoastbigrigtruckshow.org.
