Fete La Pointe Gala in Pascagoula

Hundreds packed the Hilton Garden Inn this evening for one of Pascagoula’s most celebrated events: Fete La Pointe.
Fete La Pointe is a gala fundraiser that benefits the restoration of the La Pointe-Krebs House and Museum. The house was recently dated as the oldest structure in the Mississippi Valley.
Sixty dollar tickets for the gala go toward programs, activities, renovations and overall maintenance. The night featured special entertainment, music, a buffet, and opportunities to win unique artwork. Fete La Pointe Co-Chair Gina Underwood said, “The museum is open. We’ve already have almost 1,000 fourth graders visit and tour the grounds which is pretty exciting. I would of course like these fourth graders to visit local places if they’re studying about Mississippi history because you want to be a part of your local community first.”
Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann was the guest speaker for the evening. This year, the event raised over $20,000.
