Feeding the homeless

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Biloxi and Back Bay Mission joined forces today to provide the homeless on the Gulf Coast a warm Thanksgiving meal.
Men and women lined up outside Back Bay Mission as they eagerly waited for the doors to open. Once inside, the individuals were seated and took part in a prayer before being directed towards the buffet style meal.
Hard Rock employees lined the walls of the room as they served the food for all those in need. The Hard Rock provided food and staff while Back Bay Mission offered up their space and spread the word for the big turnout. Resident Tracy Daniel said, “I think they’re doing a good service, a lot of us are hungry, a lot of us are missing our families and we are not going to be able to eat Thanksgiving because a lot of places are closed. We care about each other. We take care of each other and we wish other people would do more.”
Today marked the 11th anniversary of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Biloxi’s ‘Hunger Homeless Meal’ event.
