Feeding the Gulf Coast Summer Meals Program

Feeding the Gulf Coast has announced the start and celebration for their summer meals program in Mississippi.

The Mississippi Summer Meals Program celebration is Friday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Point Cadet Plaza in Biloxi.

Kids will enjoy free activity stations, interactive inflatables, and free lunches. A proclamation will also be presented by the City of Biloxi at 11:25 a.m.

Feeding the Gulf Coast is partnering with local community organizations to offer free meals to children 18 and younger through the summer meals program.

The program is supported by the USDA and is designed to fill the nutritional gap when children are out of school during summer months and do not have access to free or reduced-price breakfasts and lunches at school.
