Feed the Needy brings volunteers, officers, deputies together to help others

Public safety agencies from all over Harrison County were hard at work this morning at the Lyman Community Center.

Harrison County, Biloxi, D’Iberville, Gulfport, Long Beach and Pass Christian officers, as well as hundreds of volunteers, turned out to make sure everyone had a Thanksgiving meal today.

More than 1,700 meals were prepared and delivered on Thanksgiving morning!’

The Feed the Needy program has been going on for 34 years and has grown from just a few people to feeding thousands.

Folks showed up the Lyman Community Center at 9 am to pack meals for delivery.

The food was prepared by members of public safety agencies and money and supplies were donated by the public to make sure they made enough meals.
