Feed the Need Festival

It wouldn’t be a South Mississippi weekend without some good food and music.

For the sixth time, the Lord is my Help soup kitchen held their annual ‘Feed the Need’ fundraiser and fish fry.

Crowds packed into the festival all weekend for one of their best turn outs yet. Local businesses and artists donated items to be auctioned off, all benefiting the soup kitchen.

Susannah Snyder tells News 25 they wanted to develop a fun way to raise money, something that everyone would really enjoy being a part of. “The soup kitchen here serves so many people in our community, so many ages from kids to the elderly from all walks of life for all sorts of reasons. So, what we wanted is to just have something that everybody could come out here and be a part of, fun for everybody, bring your whole family, spend the whole day with us and we’ll just give back to one another.”
