Feed My Sheep Serves Thanksgiving Meal

Not everyone is able to provide a large Thanksgiving meal for themselves, so Feed My Sheep in Gulfport made sure they didn’t have to.
After a short devotional, Feed My Sheep served a warm Thanksgiving meal to residents from around the Coast. The soup kitchen will be closed tomorrow, so they decided to serve the Coast today.
Feed My Sheep’s Chairman of the Board Ted Riemann tells News 25 between meals eaten there and served to go, they usually serve over 850 meals.
It’s also an opportunity for local businesses to lend a hand and give back to the community. PPS Plus Implementation Specialist Kurt Russell said, “We’ve always supported Feed My Sheep. We love what they do for the community. So, every year we donate money, we donate food. We come out and volunteer for this meal and it’s something we enjoy doing every year. It’s a way to just give back to the community. It really makes you think. It makes you think about what you should be thankful for and it’s something that’s a little bit of time but has a big impact on a lot of people. So, we enjoy it.”
While people inside were getting a warm meal, volunteers were handing out gloves and hats for the winter.
