Federal funding for dredging projects

The Army Corps of Engineers will allocate an additional $67.5 million this fiscal year in Mississippi, funding dredging projects at the Gulfport and Pascagoula harbors.
The work plan includes $3 million for more dredging in the Gulfport Harbor Channel and one million more for similar work at the Pascagoula Harbor.
The work plan also includes funding for the Eastern Jackson County Consolidated Water Reclamation Facility. That project will reclaim treated wastewater from Moss Point and Pascagoula to benefit the Jackson County Industrial Park.
