Father-son argument in Saucier leads to shooting, arrest

A man arguing with his father is now in jail after he allegedly pulled a handgun and fired into the vehicle where his father was.

Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson said in a press release that Kelsey Munell II, 40, of Saucier, was charged with domestic violence-aggravated assault as a result of an altercation on Sunday with his father.

Deputies were called to a home in Saucier and learned that Munell II got into an argument with his father. During the argument, Munell II displayed a handgun and fired several shots into the car where his father and a friend were sitting, Peterson said.

Munell’s father and his friend sustained superficial wounds and were taken to Singing River Hospital, where they were treated and released.

Munell II was arrested at the scene and taken to the Harrison County jail, where he is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond sest by Justice Judge Louise Ladner, pending an initial appearance.
