A Gulf Coast family of three escaped a house fire located on Peyton Drive early this morning.
Harrison County Fire Chief Pat Sullivan says the family escaped the fire around 2:30 a.m. after smoke alarms alerted them of a fire in the home.
Fire crews from Harrison County Fire Rescue, Gulfport Fire Department, and CRTC arrived to find fire shooting from the roof of the single-story brick home.
The home owners and their eight-year-old son were uninjured.
