Family and friends gather to honor Haeleigh Stamper
Family and friends gathered Saturday to lay 16-year-old Haeleigh Stamper to rest. She was one of two teens killed in Bay St. Louis during a post-prom party.
Hundreds of photos of Haeleigh with those she loved lined the wall at Bayou Talla Fellowship in the Kiln, a sweet memory of the time they shared together.
Friends traded bracelets and wore yellow ribbons in memory of Haeleigh. There were tears, but there were also some laughs as loved ones shared some of their favorite moments with her.
Haeleigh’s friends told us what they’ll remember most about her. Zachery Stowe said, “Who she was. Just, I think she’s never going to be forgotten. Whoever knew her is always going to remember her. She’s always been a very sweet, loving person. She was the most forgiving person.”
Haeleigh’s friends also say they will rally around her family in this time of grief.
