Fallen Oak Reopens After Renovations

Fallen Oak, one of the country’s most exclusive golf courses, reopened Friday after it closed this summer for renovations.

The golf course, owned by M.G.M. Resorts, is home to the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic and is named 30th on the Top 100 Courses You Can Play by Golf Magazine. Friday, workers finished up last minute touches to the improvements that included reshaping bunkers and repositioning 15 of the hallmark oak trees that give golfers the unique experience.

Rick Gehr, Head Golf Professional at Fallen Oak, says, “This is a Tom Fazio design golf course, and they came in this summer and renovated all the bunkers, so we’re very excited. We did a couple other renovations, some stream work on 1, rebuilt a green on 14, but after a long summer, today’s our first day and we’re very excited to be back open."

Fallen Oak is available exclusively for guests of the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino.
