Fall Festival at MGCCC

It’s never too early to start celebrating Halloween and to kick it off, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Jefferson Davis campus held their third annual Fall Festival this evening.
The campus was flooded with little superheroes and princesses all waiting to get their hands on some free candy. The festival had their famous trunk-or-treat for all families, a pumpkin patch and a haunted house. Since the beginning, the JD campus always had a huge turnout and every year it keeps growing.
Students at the Gulfport campus tell News 25 this is one of their favorite school events. Sophomore Alyssa Hornsby said, “My favorite thing about the festival would probably be the atmosphere. It’s real chill and it’s really family oriented. It’s really exciting for students to see little kids wanting to come on our campus, only because they’re going to be our future leaders and so it’s really exciting and we’re going to believe in them and hope that we all succeed.”
The first year they held the event they had over 1,500 people. This year they expected over three thousand.
