Fall Festival at Quarles Elementary School

It may not feel like fall outside but that’s not stopping students at Quarles Elementary School in Long Beach from having their annual Fall Festival today.
It’s all part of the Parent Teacher Association’s annual fundraiser from 4 to 7 o’clock. Students, parents, school staff, and the community gather together to enjoy various games, great food, fun, raffle prizes, a silent auction and more.
The fall festival is not just a fun, family friendly way to kick off the weekend. In light of nationwide bouts of shootings and other acts of violence, the PTA is using tonight’s event to raise money to increase security at the school.
The event is a great time for children and adults. While students play games, eat popcorn and enjoy their friends, parents were able to bid on various artwork created by the children’s homeroom classes.
This is the PTA’s main fundraiser for the year.
