What to expect in Ocean Springs for Cruisin’ the Coast

Cruisin’ the Coast is starting Sunday and the City of Ocean Springs is revving up in anticipation for the celebration.

They’ll have cool cars, live music, and tasty food available October 8th through the 10th. The celebration will move forward like it has in past years with some changes to allow social distancing and follow CDC guidelines.

The cars will be spaced out further apart and there will be hand sanitizer and washing stations available. Keep in mind that during these days, parking will be difficult and ubering or biking will be best.

Cruisin’ the Coast is the biggest economic driver for the city. Ocean Springs Mayor Shea Dobson said, “Specifically for our downtown businesses and businesses in general who have had a hit in 2020. There are a lot of servers who haven’t had the income they’ve grown accustomed to. Come out and visit these restaurants and tip your servers and tip your bartenders and such.”

Memorable events in Ocean Springs like the Sock Hop and Street Party are still scheduled with live music.
