What to expect at Edgewater Mall on Black Friday
While Black Friday is notorious for packed stores and long lines, the Edgewater Mall in Biloxi isn’t selling themselves short of safety precautions this year.
There will be limitations on the numbers of people that can come in. There will also be markers on the floor to assist patrons in social distancing.
Majority of the stores at Edgewater Mall are running Thanksgiving sales all week so you can stop by Tuesday or Wednesday and get the same sales you’ll have available on Black Friday.
While Edgewater Mall isn’t typically open on Thanksgiving, they normally get shoppers that spent the night shopping around different stores Thursday night.
Since no stores will be open Thanksgiving Day and all are open Friday morning, they’re wondering how that might impact foot traffic. Edgewater Mall General Manager Terry Powell said, “My expectations are that we might see a little increase, but a lot of that has to do with timing. So, I’m wondering if we might see a little change in that traffic. So, if we see it early and later in the evening it starts dying down some. Either way we’re prepared.”
Edgewater Mall is opening their doors at 5 a.m. Friday, but the majority of stores will not be opening their doors until 7 a.m.
