Emerald Coast Medieval Fantasy Festival taking place at Beauvoir

For those of you who are ready for 2020 to be over, this weekend you have a chance to step back in time.

The inaugural Emerald Coast Medieval Fantasy Festival and Faery Masquerade Ball is happening in Biloxi.

Although dressing up isn’t required, feel free to grab your shields and swords and head over to Beauvoir on Saturday and Sunday. The festival is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for 12 and up and $5 for 12 and under and half-off for first responders. Masks must be worn inside the museum and you’ll receive $2 off general admission if you bring your mask.

All the proceeds from this event will go toward maintaining Beauvoir. Performer Captain Silver said, “You can expect a whole lot of fun you get all kinds of swashbuckling pirates. You get to see jugglers, you get to see musicians all over the place, a whole lot of action, a lot of fun in the sun and in the shade.”

Faery Ball Coordinator Suzanne Stafford said, “The purpose was to give people the chance to have some joy in their lives, to be able to go have fun getting dressed up, enjoy time with their friends, enjoy some music to help all the artisans, musicians, performers. Just everybody needs a little something to bring joy into their lives.”

The Faery Court Masquerade Ball is Saturday from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. with VIP starting at 7 p.m. Formal wear or costume is required. The price for general admission is $100 and VIP is $150.

Tickets are available at Eventbrite online, Beauvoir gift shop, or through some of the vendors at the festival.
