EDU Presents Findings On Uber

As discussion of bringing Uber to Ocean Springs continues, the city’s Economic Development Council has studied the issue and has presented findings to the Board Of Alderman.

They found there are two bills in the legislature that have a shot of passing one would have the state take over regulation from cities and counties and transfer it to the Mississippi Insurance Department.

The EDC would also like to see the legislature require cars working under Uber to be inspected with drivers having background checks.

These are just a few of the EDC’s findings.

So while no decision on Uber coming to Ocean Springs has been made, the hope is *This Helps* the Board Of Alderman make one.
