Eat Local and Help a Veteran

Why wait to honor our veterans until next week? You can start doing it now and help them at the same time.
It’s easy, all you have to do is go eat. Back Bay Mission has teamed up with six local restaurants for their annual Red, White and Blue Fundraiser. Friday through Veterans Day participating restaurants will donate a percentage of their profits.
Back Bay Mission’s Veterans Support Fund assists veterans in need along the Gulf Coast, providing housing or emergency services. Back Bay Mission’s Community Relations Associate Laura Payne said, “Whether they’re homeless, it’s going to get them housed. Whether they need sustainability, they can come in and get the money to use for emergency assistance, such as food or utility bills or assistance getting back into a home, if they had a fire or things like that. We just want to make our veterans sustainable.”
Participating restaurants are Anthony’s Sports Bar and Grill, the Seafood Market and Deli in Biloxi, Dickey’s Barbecue, Orchid Indian Food, Shaggy’s and Tasty Tails.
