East Central back to defend 5A title with 10-3 win over West Jones

When it comes to game 3s, the East Central baseball team has been there before.

Last year, the Hornets had to win a rubber match against rival Vancleave en route to taking home the 5A state title.

This year, they had to beat Picayune in a win-or-go home scenario to get to where they are now.

East Central hosting West Jones in game 3 of South State for the right to go back to the 5A State Championship series.

Back-to-back 5A South State champions as East Central scores the last nine runs to win 10-3.
