Early Morning Fire Destroys West Harrison County Home

A West Harrison county home was destroyed in a fire early this morning.
Six trucks and 16 firefighters arrived at the single story wood framed house on Rockies Road shortly after 2 a.m. The home was completely engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on the scene. Thankfully, no one was inside the home. There were no injuries to firefighters. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Harrison County Fire Marshal Pat Sullivan said, “We don’t have anything substantial to tell us what caused the fire, of course that’s the part that we’re into now. It’s going to be a lengthy investigation, of course, when you have as much damage as you have to the homes, so that means we’re going to have to dig it out and try to find what the cause was.”
If you have any information please call the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department at 228-865-7060
