Driving on Slippery Roads

Slippery road conditions caused a ripple effect of accidents in Harrison County this morning.
The on-ramp to Highway 67 at Highway 49 closed down around 6:30 because of the icy conditions. MDOT sprayed over 200 pounds of salt on the overpass to melt the ice, something South Mississippi drivers are not used to.
Members of MDOT urge drivers to keep a few things in mind while driving in the cold and icy conditions.
Minor injuries were reported from the accidents. The on-ramp is now clear.
