Drill down competition at Keesler Air Force Base

A drill down competition revolved around precision, teamwork, and practice for airmen at Keesler Air Force Base this morning.
The quarterly event allows four squadrons to go toe to toe with the winner taking home the trophy for best overall performance. Judging spanned from uniform dress and appearance, the sequence, timing, accuracy, and execution of each regulation drill command, plus the choreography of a freestyle routine.
These airmen practice and train constantly to showcase their skills. The commander of the winning squadron tells News 25 how proud he is of their performance. 334th Training Squadron Commander Lt. Col. Billy Wilson said, “It is awesome. It is thrilling. It is something that we’ve worked on, that they’ve worked on, that we’ve talked about a lot. It’s good to see them successful, not only in academics, but in drill and ceremony today so I’m really, really happy.”
The 334th Squadron took home the number one prize at best overall performance.
