Dr. Larry Drawdy named interim superintendent for Biloxi Public Schools

The Biloxi Public School Board has named Dr. Larry Drawdy as interim superintendent while the board continues to look for a permanent replacement.

Dr. Drawdy is familiar with the position as he served as superintendent of Biloxi Schools from 1994 until 2004. Also, Dr. Drawdy has held leadership positions in Picayune, Meridian, and the Mississippi Department of Education. Most recently he served as the education liaison for Speaker of the House Philip Gunn.

Biloxi School Board President Jim Wallis says Drawdy will “continue the tradition of excellence that we have here in the Biloxi School District.”
