A dozen people rescued from Pascagoula rising waters
Doug Adams with the Pascagoula Police Department tells News 25 a total of 12 people were rescued from rising waters in Pascagoula between late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning. Pascagoula Firefighters rescued eight Tupelo Avenue residents, and four Railroad Street residents.
Five to seven inches of rainfall caused low-lying areas to flood and knocked over several trees. One Pascagoula resident was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment after a water-related injury inside of her home. Authorities blocked off multiple streets overnight due to debris and flooding. All Pascagoula roads are now open.
