Downtown for the Holidays in Pascagoula
The 20th annual Downtown for the Holidays will be lighting up Pascagoula’s main street this Friday.
The event starts at 5 p.m. with the lighting of the tree next to Santa’s village on the corner of Delmas Avenue and Magnolia Street.
Vendors will be selling crafts and businesses will have later hours than normal. There will also be a parade followed by a firework show.
Pascagoula Main Street Association Director Rebecca Davis has been working with Downtown for the Holidays since 2003. She says it’ll still be the same family fun event they have every year, but this time with social distancing. “It’s turned into a magical event over the years for the community that you see people that you haven’t seen in forever.”
There will not be an entrance fee instead the public should bring new unwrapped toys for the United Way of Jackson and George Counties.
