‘Donuts with a Deputy’ connects Harrison County community

This morning, Harrison County deputies enjoyed a cup of coffee and donuts with residents who stopped by the Lyman Senior Center.

Donuts with a Deputy allows community members to come together to ask any questions, share concerns, and share encouraging words.

It gives people a chance to connect with deputies in a relaxed setting. Lt. Robert Lincoln said, “The idea is to make ourselves accessible to the community, to answer any questions, concerns they have.”

Lyman Senior Center Director Al Jones said, “This time, day and age, the law enforcement men and women do not get the respect, do not get the appreciation and that’s what this is about. To show our appreciation to them.”

Donuts with a Deputy is an event that the department tries to put on at least two times a year.
