Donations for Hurricane Michael victims

The devastation suffered by communities from Hurricane Michael is well known to South Mississippi.

That’s why residents and groups across the Coast continue to organize donation drop off spots to support those in need. Lemoyne Boulevard Baptist Church in Biloxi opened their doors early this morning as a donation drop off location. They will be accepting supplies for victims of Hurricane Michael until Friday.

They are asking people for non-perishable foods, water, and any supplies that can aid in cleanup efforts. Lemoyne Boulevard Baptist Church member Alexia Byrd said, “With Katrina we got a lot of help, a lot of people came to this church. This church helped a lot of people in the community and we just really want to give back and be the hands and feet of Christ and that’s what it’s all about. It’s really a community effort which is really amazing.”

They are asking that people do not donate any clothes or toys.
