Dog Rescued by DMR After Jumping off Bridge

Man’s best friend is lucky to be alive after jumping off the I-110 Bridge today in Biloxi, falling over 60 feet to the water.
Just after noon, Biloxi Police and Biloxi Fire Department, along with DMR, worked to rescue a Doberman-Pitbull mix after the dog jumped from the back window.
The driver hit the retaining wall on the bridge and was not hurt.
The heroes of the day are DMR officers Michael Fitts and Matt Kasovich. Officer Fitts bought the young dog to safety on a jet ski. Officer Kasovich says, “We just happened to be in the right place at the right time.”
