Discover Christmas Parade happening this Sunday in Ocean Springs

The third annual Discover Christmas Parade is happening this coming Sunday in Ocean Springs.

The parade is put on by multiple carnival associations and brings with it the excitement of a Mardi Gras parade.

This year’s parade is interactive and will be bringing back its memorable pillow-fighting elves. Other Christmas characters from the North Pole will be in attendance, including Santa and the Grinch.

The Discover Christmas Parade also helps children in need and doubles as a toy drive. Organizer Heather Eason said, “We encourage all of the people in the parade to bring an unwrapped toy worth at least $5. We also encourage the crowd to bring an unwrapped toy as well and as the Cub Scouts go by, they’ll collect the toys from the crowd.”

The parade rolls at 2 p.m. Sunday beginning at Front Beach and ending at Ocean Springs Lumber and Company.

To participate in the parade, fill out a registration form and enter at Discoverchristmasparade.com.
