D’Iberville students help out Harvey victims

Students with the D’Iberville High School yearbook staff put together a community project to help students affected by Hurricane Harvey.
They adopted a different staff in Texas called the West Orange Stark High School. The care packages consisted of candy, toiletry items, SD cards, and some with $25 gift cards.
Students involved with this community service project tell News 25 it felt great to give back to a school that went through a tragic loss. Student Sarah Wade said, “We created care packages for each student at that yearbook staff. There are 26 in total and six of which who had completely lost everything. We also created little personal cards to each student to make it more personal and to really make them feel like we are here for them.”
The staff and students plan to send out the care packages to Texas next Monday.
