D’Iberville man sentenced for owning pipe bombs
A D’Iberville man has been sentenced to federal prison for possession of pipe bombs.
Mark Bosarge Jr. was sentenced to five years behind bars for possession of a firearm not registered in the National Firearms and Transfer Record.
In June of last year, Jackson County deputies found explosive powder, pipes, and components for pipe bombs in a home where Bosarge previously lived.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms confirmed Bosarge had supplies to assemble at least three pipe bombs, along with a detonator and a control box.
He’s sentenced to three years probation following his release and an $8,000 fine.
