D’Iberville Girls Basketball’s Kalea Storm signs with Southwest Mississippi Community College

One girls basketball standout from D’Iberville High School is taking her talents to the next level.

This afternoon, ahead of her senior night game, Kalea Storm putting pen to paper with Southwest Community College.

Her senior season has been one to remember with her Lady Warriors having already locked up the number one seed for the Region 7 Class 6A district tournament.

An emotional day for Storm, but these are happy tears for the future Bear in celebration of accomplishing a childhood dream. “It means a lot. This team this year – oh my gosh, I’m going to get emotional again – this is my family. My coaches, they brought me up from the jump. They believed in me. My teammates believed in me. It just meant a lot. It’s just like a dream come true.”

Storm says the Southwest coaches are what sold her on the program when she committed several months back.
