D’Iberville is collecting donations for Harvey victims

Another Coast crew is heading out to Texas to drop off supplies to Harvey flood victims.
The City of D’Iberville is currently collecting several items for Texas residents in need of food items, cleaning supplies, and other necessities.
City officials kept in contact with some of the same people who came over to D’Iberville to help after Hurricane Katrina. They now hope to provide the same relief 12 years later. D’Iberville City Manager Clay Jones said, “There’s nothing like feeling helpless and having somebody come that you didn’t even call and say ‘I’m here to help you and help get your life back together for you’ and that means the world to us. Every one of our citizens remembers that and so every one of them is going to step up and give a lot, I know it.”
Gollott and Sons Transfer and Storage donated the truck, trailer, and driver for this relief effort. The drop off location is at the Central Fire Station between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
