D’Iberville Citizen’s Police Academy

The D’Iberville Police Department welcomes residents to their second Citizen’s Police Academy.
D’Iberville residents will be exposed to several aspects of law enforcement including K-9, criminal investigations, patrol, and DUI. The mission of the academy is to bridge the gap between the community and police and hopefully debunk myths about law enforcement.
Lieutenant Shannon Nobles with the D’Iberville Police Department tells News 25 both the police and citizens benefit from these interactions.”It’s a way to build partnerships, for them to get to know us, for us to get to know them and to be honest with you, we can’t help them if we don’t know what their needs are. I think it’s a great opportunity for the citizens of D’Iberville to meet with their local law enforcement once a week and we know their concerns and they know what we do and what we can do to help them.”
All applicants must be at least 18 years old and agree to a background check.
The first session begins on January 19th.
