D’Iberville boys basketball duo signs with Holmes

Another signing day ceremony at D’Iberville High School with senior standout Dominic Simpkins letting the ink dry with Holmes Community College alongside team manager and fellow Holmes signee Christopher Smith.

As for Simpkins, he says the coaching staff reached out to him before the beginning of the season and says he felt like Goodman, Mississippi was the best place for him to be.

So far this season, Simpkins is averaging 18 points, eight rebounds, two blocks, and two steals per game for the first place Warriors. “I’m most proud of actually making it, and all the work that I’ve been through, everything, I’m just happy I made it. To God be the glory.”

Simpkins is a star in the classroom as well with an impressive score of 26 on his ACT.
