More development projects underway in Biloxi

Besides the news of the $1.2 billion luxury hotel and concert venue coming to Biloxi, other projects in the city are on the rise and continue to bloom.

Construction for the Margaritaville Amusement Park and parking garage will resume in the near future.

The crew responsible for the new Legends Hotel in Biloxi have to finish a few things at the site and then their focus will shift back to the amusement park.

Also, 22 new single family subdivisions are underway with 200 houses under construction. Construction valuation will be a little over $22 million. City of Biloxi Community Development Director Jerry Creel said, “A lot of things happening. We are working with these people as much as we can to make things work. We are looking for ways to expedite projects within the law and within the codes. So, we are really excited about things happening in Biloxi.”

Other projects in the works include a condo development on the corner of Bayview across from the IP, beach view villas, a mixed-use development in the works on the Old Breakers Inn property, an indoor pistol range in the Woolmarket area, and so much more.
