Dense fog likely a factor in overnight accident involving 18-wheeler, two cars

Heavy fog on the Mississippi Coast was likely a contributing factor in multiple overnight crashes.

One motor vehicle accident occurred late Monday night on Highway 605 near Three Rivers Road.

Eight people escaped injury from the accident which involved an 18-wheeler and two cars.

The National Weather Service had a “Dense Fog Advisory” in effect for South Mississippi at the time of the crash.
