Dense fog continues for coastal counties

A dense fog advisory is in effect until Friday morning for Harrison, Hancock and Jackson counties; visibility may drop below one quarter mile.

Tonight: Areas of fog continue under cloudy skies. Scattered showers and storms possible, with lows only in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Winds will be from the south at 15 mph.

Friday: Fog will continue ahead of the cold front, with scattered showers and storms, and highs reached during the morning for most of the region. Expect temperatures in the middle 70s early in the day, then falling into the middle 60s by the afternoon, with south winds at 10 to 15 mph. Overnight lows drop into the middle 40s.

Saturday: A cold rain for the beginning of the weekend, with winter weather staying to our north. Highs warm into the lower to middle 50s, with lows in the middle to upper 40s.

Scattered showers and storms continue for the beginning of the workweek, with sunshine and cooler temperatures by the middle of the week.
