Democratic mayoral runoff in Moss Point

Tonight determines the Democratic mayoral candidate for the City of Moss Point. It comes down to Democratic candidate Billy Knight and Representative Jeramey Anderson.

Anderson proposes a ‘Forward Moss Point Plan’ focusing on economic development, housing, public safety, and recreation.

Knight is focusing on crime, safe community, streets and drainage, replacing bad water lines, and quality education for Moss Point children.

In the primary, Billy Knight led with 47 percent of votes while Jeramey Anderson came in with 27 percent.

The winner of the runoff will face Independent Howard Bailey and Republic Richard McBride in the General Election on June 8th.
