Danielle Dewitt Appeal in Court

Former Hancock High Coach Leslie Danielle Dewitt will have to wait a little longer to find out the outcome of her appeal against the 30 year sentence she received after being found guilty on two counts of unlawful touching of a child for lustful purposes.
Last month, Dewitt’s attorney, Jim Davis, filed a motion for a new trial based on claims that one juror was not completely honest when questioned about his residency in Hancock County during the selection process.
Separate motions were also filed requesting a lesser sentence and asking for a bond appeal.
A decision will be made in Dewitt’s case on Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
