Cutting the ribbon with Flight Care 5
You’ve probably heard of Flight Care Rescue 5. They’re the crew that pilots medical helicopters during accidents in the local area, but today the crew got a nice change of pace.
Flight Care Rescue 5 is the newest member of the Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce. The group was welcomed with a ribbon cutting at Million Air Hangar in Gulfport, both as a thank you and as a sign of support.
The flight crew, alongside their partners at AirMedCare and AMR, were all on hand to meet with city leaders and community members as part of the special occasion. Hannah Burnett-Yawn with the Gulfport Chamber of Commerce said, “It is fun to celebrate somebody who is often so hard at work and it’s our privilege to welcome them to the chamber and to celebrate them and their place in our community as they play a vital role.”
Tammy Wages with AirMedCare Network said, “Knowing what the crews go through on a normal day, it’s great to be out here to experience this with them and I know they’re grateful to the community for their support as well.”
