Custom designed golf cart raffle fundraiser to benefit Walter Anderson Museum of Art

The Walter Anderson Museum of Art is raffling off a one-of-a-kind golf cart.

If you’ve visited WAMA, you probably remember the Little Room, it is the crown jewel of the museum. It’s also the design inspiration for the custom cart that will be raffled off on Mardi Gras Day. The cart is called ‘Midnight Cat’ and it was built by Ocean Springs Downtown Cart Rentals.

The museum is celebrating its 30th anniversary and the funds generated by the raffle will support their mission of inspiring discovery, imagination, and community-building on the Gulf Coast and beyond through their programs. WAMA Executive Director Julian Rankin said, “What we do with our educational programs, everything from, in Pascagoula, building large scale steel sculptures with high school students to working with marine education and certainly childhood, early childhood school districts across the board, lifelong learners. So, when you’re giving to the museum, you’re giving to more than just an institution, you’re giving to the whole Coast and our initiatives that go beyond our walls.”

Raffle tickets are $25 for one or $20 each for five or more. The deadline to purchase is February 28th. They’ll select the winner on Mardi Gras Day.
