Crusaders for Veterans: Ride for the Village

Crusaders for Veterans is back at it again, raising money for local heroes.

On Saturday, the group held their ‘Ride for the Village’ event. Around 100 motorcycles participated in the ride where they made stops all across South Mississippi. Registration was $20, but many riders gave a little extra to the cause.

All proceeds from the ride are going straight to help fund the Veteran’s Village. This village will help homeless veterans get back on their feet and in the community again. There will be two parts to the village: a community center in Biloxi and tiny homes to house the veterans in Saucier.

Crusaders for Veterans are more than grateful for the out pour of support from the community.  Roxanne Cuttill with Crusaders for Veterans said, “It’s very heartfelt, very awesome to see the community support us and come out for this beautiful, great day. As far as people coming and supporting us for building and whatever else we might need, we definitely have the community out supporting us. For that, we just need to get the land and get it started and break ground.”

They hope to have the village up and running by 2020. If you would like to donate visit www.crusadersforveterans.com.
