Cruisin’ traffic plan

South Mississippi will be experiencing a lot of traffic flow and not to mention some nice rides cruising along the Gulf Coast.
This will be the beginning of the intense traffic flow we will begin to see coming on Sunday. The Gulfport Police Department will be having a few road closures in downtown Gulfport for Sunday’s event, View the Cruise, from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sergeant Josh Bromen explains there will be officers and volunteers on hand to help out and direct traffic to help things go smoothly. “So if you’re participating in the event, you are a cruiser, you can come in off of 15th Street or you can come off of 13th on the 30th Avenue side. There will be signs. There will be volunteers from the Air Force Base that will be directing the cruisers where to park as well as the spectators.”
The road closures are only for Sunday. You can view the full map here.
We will see traffic throughout next week on Highway 90 due to Cruisin’ the Coast and Highway 49 for those attending the Gulfport Music Festival.
