Cruisin’ the Coast is back in South Mississippi

America’s Largest Block Party is back in South Mississippi. Cruisers from all over are here this week to enjoy gorgeous antique cars and classic hot rods.

This morning, there were lines of people waiting to get registered for Cruisin’ events.

Guests were set up with lawn chairs, enjoying the cars as they rolled into Cruise Central at Gulfport’s Centennial Plaza.

So far, about 8,000 cars are registered with people from all over including Canada, Germany, and Puerto Rico.

Cruisin’ the Coast gives car enthusiasts a chance to showcase their rides and to cruise down 30 miles of our scenic Beach Boulevard. Cruiser Amy Cross said, “I thoroughly enjoy it. I have met so many friends, people that I have become friends with that you don’t see every day, you only see them when we come to stuff like this. I love coming to Cruisin’ the Coast. It is just awesome.”

Koto will spin the oldies at Cruise Central until 5 tonight. Don’t forget to head to Long Beach for tonight’s parade. That gets rolling at 5:30.
