Cruisin’ the Coast traffic plans for the City of Biloxi

If you were worried about the traffic that comes with Cruisin’ the Coast over the weekend, it shouldn’t be as bad in regards to previous years.

In fact, the Biloxi Police Department may hold off on using orange traffic cones on Highway 90 for their usual traffic plans.

Biloxi PD made this decision due to the chance of bad weather from Delta and having the cones blow over into traffic lanes.

Another reason is a lot of Cruisers have already left the Coast to go back home, meaning traffic flow should be manageable.  Biloxi PD Major Chris De Back said, “We encourage everybody to still stay safe. Be aware of their surroundings; continue to monitor the weather because you never know what’s going to happen with these storms. Have a plan and have a good time while they are doing it.”

Barricades will be used in some cases, especially in low-lying areas where the highway may flood.
