Cruisers rolling into Ocean Springs early Friday morning

Cruisers were lined up as early as 2:30 this morning in Ocean Springs determined to get a good spot for their car in downtown.

Around 7 a.m., engines started revving as cars were allowed to cruise on in to Ocean Springs. This year, the car line only had about 25 cars in it, normally it has a couple hundred lined up and stretches to the beach. However, the city is expecting cars to continuously arrive like they did at Thursday’s Sock Hop.

Cruiser Ed Carter got in line at 4:30 this morning and his car was number five. “Ocean Springs is just a neat place for me. They’re always packed full of cars. This year is down a little bit, but this year just hearing stories from all across the country and making new friends. I just enjoy it all, I really do.”
